Unusual (read: no sandwiches!) lunch box ideas?
My kindergartner does not eat cold sandwiches (or string cheese!), so packing a lunch for him is pretty tough... any ideas (esp. for protein???)? I'm sure we're both getting tired of his "usual" ... Gogurt, NutriGrain bar, goldfish crackers and banana!!!

Cubes of cheese? They make peanut butter in little cups. My kindergartener likes a tablespoon of peanut butter with craisins covering it. You get protein and fruit (kind of fruit?) all in one messy glob!

Lunchbox Ideas
Hey, there. I have the same problem with my 6-year-old. He likes it when I pack hard boiled eggs. He also loves cold macaroni and cheese (yuck!) and cold pizza slices. I've also sent turkey and cheese roll-ups which went over fairly well. You might try www.laptoplunches.org. They have a lot of great lunch ideas and the site is run by a couple of moms who are passionate about nutrition and the environment. Good luck!
