My kindergartner does not eat cold sandwiches (or string cheese!), so packing a lunch for him is pretty tough... any ideas (esp. for protein???)? I'm sure we're both getting tired of his "usual" ... Gogurt, NutriGrain bar, goldfish crackers and banana!!!

I've had this on my list of things to make for a long time, and I wish I would have tried it sooner. My (picky) DH and I loved loved loved it! The 2-year-old wouldn't touch it because it wasn't hot dogs or chicken nuggets, but I suspect he'll come around soon enough.

Ingredients

8 oz. spaghetti, broken in two

1 1/2 pounds frozen broccoli florets

I just read about Breakfast Breaks in my kids National Geographic magazine.

http://www.breakfastbreaks.com/

Has anyone seen these in the stores around here yet?

I wouldn't stock up on these for day to day but might be nice for traveling or just to have when your running out the door and need a snack! ...

Funny food habits

Since we just moved to Springfield about 6 months ago, we've had a lot of visitors. Everytime someone new comes into town, we make sure to take them to the Cozy Dog. And every time, we get Jack (20 months old) a Cozy Dog and cut it up for him. And every time, he peels off the breading, eats the hot dog, then eats the breading! It's so funny to watch - he looks so serious.

I took my twins to eat at O'Charleys and it was around lunch time during the week. I had been out doing shopping an lost track of time and needed to feed the boys lunch. They were not waiting till they got home either. I have to say the staff was great.. They were truly helpful and caring. I thought what a great place they either have really great staff or they wanted to help get the boys fed and out of there so they could clean up. They were not loud or anything just wanted to feed themself. ...
