Oak Terrace - anybody been there?
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced Oak Terrace Resort?

I'm thinking about going there with my husband for a getaway - couples spa experience and overnight.
They advertise during Oprah - but I have not heard of anyone who has gone. If you have - post your experience!

Hi...
I haven't been to oak terrace, but I can highly recommend going to the Sainte Genevieve area in Missouri.
It's about an hour and a half south of St. Louis, and it's a charming B & B town with a taste of Napa Valley as well. I am not kidding here, although Napa is hard to compete with , we were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the wineries in the Sainte Geneviev area.
Here is the home page for the area, http://www.greatriverroad.com/SteGenHome.htm
click on wineries if that interests you! We recommend Chaumette & Crown Valley to start.
We stayed at hte Inn St. Gemme Beauvais http://www.bbhost.com/innstgemme/ but I just found out on their website that they had a terrible fire Feb 2008! http://theinnsrebirth.blogspot.com/
Plan B, they also manage the Dr. Hertich's House across the street 1-800-818-5744.
We ate at the restaurant across the street- affordable and delicous. The town is so relaxing-- I definitely recommend for some time away from the kids!
Need other recs....we have a list from area families on our Day Trips- Romantic Getaways section! access here:
