If you have a child with allergies and/or asthma, I highly recommend going to the website of, and getting involved with, Allergy and Asthma Network - Mothers of Asthmatics. www.aanma.org. Their annual "membership" - which I think might be considered a charitable gift - is low-cost ($35/yr for a family) and I get SO MUCH info from their magazine, mailings, emails and website. It is GREAT and is all about getting people educated, advocacy, etc. I feel so educated going into my doctor's office to talk about asthma, just because of what I learn from AANMA.
