Mall kids area

If you haven't seen it yet, the new kids area at the mall is very nice. It is almost entirely enclosed and a nice size. Perfect place for a few moms to meet up during the week and let the kids play while you visit. It may be a bit crowded the next few weeks during the last minute shopping but I think its a great addition to the mall. Thank you to springfieldmoms sponsor St. John's for bringing the much needed play area to our mall!!

I was so happy to see that it's open! My son had a great time in there last night.

I was at the mall on Saturday and didn't notice it. Where is it at?

It is on the lower level at the Sears wing.

I agree Jen. It's located at the entrance to SEARS on the main level....enjoy! I am so glad our mall is up with the times of providing this great outlet for kids and moms to meet!

We were there playing (again!) last night. It's getting to be a very busy place! Am I the only one a little creeped out by the police officers that are always standing guard though? There were two of them last night, just watching, and occasionally writing things down on a clipboard. I'm not usually suspicious like that, and I'm sure they were just making sure the rules were being followed. (One of them did tell a couple of kids to take their shoes off.) But still, it was weirding me out a bit.

I checked with the Mall, and they clean the kids play area everyday at 1:00pm and 5:00pm as well as at the end of the day after the mall closes. I think this is great news that they are doing regular cleanings, and also it's helpful to know the cleaning times so you can plan your visits accordingly! We have taken our girls several times and they love it!!
